Design and manufacture of atmospheric radar systems

ATRAD entered the Business SA Export Awards 2002 in two categories :

• Playford Capital Information and Communication Technology Export Award.
• AusIndustry Small-Medium Business Export Award.

Both awards are for excellence in export performance and judges looked at a numb er of factors including:

• Quality of the Export Marketing strategy
• Company Infrastructure
• Level of export sales as a proportion of total sales
• Sustainable growth in export sales
• Sound capital base

Although ATRAD did not win in either category we were a finalist in the Playford Capital Award.

The winner in the Playford Capital Category was Agrilink Holdings Pty Ltd - Exporters of soil irrigation management technology and in the AusIndustry category it was Bordex Wineracks Australia Pty Ltd - Manufacturers of wine racks.
