  1. April 2007 - Rob Silva

    Rob Silva rejoins ATRAD as Business Development Manager.

  2. April 2005 - Gary Jonas

    ATRAD welcomes Gary Jonas, who has joined the company as an RF Engineer.

  3. January 2003 - Jonathan Woithe

    ATRAD welcomes Dr. Jonathan Woithe, who has joined the company as a System Admininstrator/Research Scientist. Jonathan is a Ph.D. graduate from the Atmospheric Physics group of the Department of Physics and Mathematical Physics from the University of Adelaide. He has experience with MF radar and optical systems, as well as being an expert in Linux and system administration.

    Jonathan has previously worked for ATRAD on a contract basis. He is the author of the "Radar configuration" (radarcfg) software used to configure and schedule experiments for ATRAD radar systems.

  4. October 2002 - Callum Heinrich

    ATRAD welcomes Callum Heinrich, who has joined the company on a 12 week work experience placement as part of his Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) and Science (Maths and Computing science) degree at the University of Adelaide.

    Callum's project involves an evaluation of antenna design used for Atrad radar systems, with special emphasis on meteor radars.

  5. March 2002 - Richard Mayo

    ATRAD welcomes Richard Mayo who has joined the company as a Senior Design Engineer.

    Richard has previously worked on the ATRAD Wuhan VHF development as a consultant to us through his previous employment with Inspiration Technology Pty Ltd.

    More recently Richard worked for ATRAD on a full time casual basis and we are pleased to announce he is now a full time permanent employee.

    Richard has over 25 years of engineering experience covering all major electronic disciplines and working environments.

  6. 3 August 2001 - The French disconnection

    Typhanie Sanchez, Telecommunications Engineering final year student from Toulon University in France, has finished her six-month exchange work experience with ATRAD to complete her university degree.

    Typhanie's project was to develop `A computer model to simulate the techniques involved in data processing for atmospheric radars'. On her return to France she will present her report to the university to enable her to receive her Telecommunications Engineering degree.

  7. July 2001 - Nick Begakis AM BTech FAICD

    The directors of Atmospheric Radar Systems Pty Ltd are pleased to announce the appointment of prominent South Australian businessman Mr Nicholas Begakis AM as non-executive chairman.

    Nick brings with him a wealth of experience in business, which was recognised in the 2001 Queen's Birthday Honours list, where he was invested as a Member of the Order of Australia for his work in promoting Australian business and exports.

  8. June 2001 - Andrew Jenkins

    ATRAD welcomes Andrew Jenkins who has joined ATRAD in the newly created position of Systems Manager. It will be Andrew's job to project manage the growing list of ATRAD contracts and project activities.

    Andrew has wide experience in this field from overseas and Australia, most recently in South Australia with Australian Satellite Services and Codan.

    His appointment is key to the ATRAD growth factor to ensure that the increase in volume of work is executed in a controlled and efficient manner.
